Education is a critical aspect of the spiritual growth of all believers. At First Presbyterian Church of Cody we offer a wide variety of programs for individuals and families. This section includes our Sunday School program, Wednesday Night program, and various other educational opportunities at the Church. Check it out, there's something for everyone.

Sunday School_________________________________________________

Classes for Kindergarten through adult will be offered beginning at 11:00 a.m. and finishing at noon. Every age group will be using the “Faith Weaver” curriculum so all age groups will be studying the same bible passage every week but at age appropriate levels. Classes offered:

1st - 4th grade Sunday school

Senior High Sermon discussion

Adults: Scotland Study - Pat’s shameless effort to use the exciting potential of group travel to lure us into studying history and theology.

Wednesday Night Program________________________________________

A meal will be served at 5:30pm (if you or a student will arrive late because of work or extra-curricular activity and would like a plate of food set aside for them, let Tammy Scott know by noon on Wednesday by calling the church office at 587-2647) Classes will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Classes are available to the following:

1st grade – 4th grade

9th grade – 12th grade

Adults: Christian Care giving study

Our Covenants_________________________________________________

Our pledge, as part of the Christian Education Program at First Presbyterian Church of Cody, contains a threefold covenant:

1) The church pledges to:

  • Provide a teacher's training workshop.
  • Provide quality educational programs.
  • Provide supplies, support, and oversight to teachers.
  • Provide safe space and opportunities for Christian growth.
  • 2) The teachers pledge to:

  • Participate in the Teacher's training workshop.
  • Be centered in prayer.
  • Attend worship on a regular basis.
  • Devote the necessary time to prepare the lessons.
  • Follow the curriculum.
  • Have the classrooms set up and ready for students.
  • Plan ahead for supply needs.
  • Call a sub when unable to teach.
  • 3) The student, and parents of minor children, pledge to:

  • Have the students to class on time.
  • Expect attendance at every Sunday and/or Wednesday Night class.
  • Have students rested and ready to learn.
  • Go over the lessons at home to re-enforce the learning.
  • Pray for the students, teachers, & the Christian Education Program.
